Topping off a gift bag

I found these gift boxes at Michaels' for $1 a package. They are from Martha Stewart's line and came 6 to a pack. Needless to say I bought all they had in stock. They were a great find, food safe and I can think of a ton of uses. You could punch holes in the back flap and box and tie with a ribbon or just use adhesive to glue the flap down. However, I wanted to do something a bit more imaginative and decorative. This is just your average, office, black binder clip. I spiffed it up by adding a die cut flower, some buttons, rhinestone & tag. I covered the front of the box and back flap with strips of patterned paper and added a scalloped strip at the top. Simple, fast and inexpensive! I was feeling very inspired to create something 'springy' with a clean craft room and the morning sun shining in.

Recipe: Pattern Paper: K & Co.; Die-Cuts: My Minds Eye & Doodlebug; Rhinestone: K & Co.; Buttons: Creative Cafe & My Minds Eye; Stamp & Ink: Papertrey; Other Supplies: Martha Stewart treat box, binder clip, white office tag.
