Lots of Boxes

I found this great box pattern on another blog and just had to try it. It is so easy-peasy to do. :)
Check out the light blue box and the scallop paper on the bunny box: Those are designer papers from the NEW Occasions Mini Catalog and a rub-on from Sale-A-Bration!!

In celebration of the NEW SU! Mini Occassions Catalog, THAT YOU CAN ORDER FROM STARTING TOMORROW, I will be posting cards using some of the stamps, glitter, ribbon and paper!!! WOOHOO!! Check out the link to the right to view the NEW Occasions Mini Catalog.

The best part of this new mini is that it overlaps Sale-A-Bration!! What does that mean you ask?

For every $50 you order from the New mini or Spring~Summer Catalog you can select a product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

There is no limit to the number of free stuff you can choose from: order $100, 2 selections; order $150, 3 selections + a free hostess set + $15 of free product your choice from either catalog!!

Oh, and the stamp sets in the NEW Occassions mini catalog are DIE CUT!! No cutting around your stamps. They just pop out and stick right to the wood block. WOW!!

FINALLY!!

I have something to post! Wow, it has been a very busy 10 days. We have a house guest coming to stay with us for a few days (Hi Victor!) and I have been getting ready for that as well as all of my other projects that had to be completed or worked on. Whew! This past saturday Becky & I went to a crop. YAY! We had a very relaxing day, crafting and scrapping our own stuff. We ate well and had some much needed down time. :) I am really enjoying all of my new SU products. I have so many projects to post that it may take a few days to get them all on here. So I will start with a peek at one of the NEW SU stamp sets (available March 1st). I will list all of the 'ingredients' for my projects at the end of my posts. Enjoy!

On a personal note. Our weather has been wacky for february. Warm, raining, snowing, blowing, below zero. You name it, it has been happening here. Yesterday we had a moose outside our living room window eating on one of my white lilac bushes. I had to snap a picture before I scared it off. Those bushes are my favorites! Marissa is about 2 feet from the moose. She is really into watching our wildlife in the yard right now. :)

New & Exciting changes!!

As most everyone knows Becky & I suspended our crops and classes in January 2008. As much as we loved doing them we found our families and other committments were needing our attention. Well, for me in this down time I started reflecting on where my business has brought me to this point and where I want to be in the future. Teaching classes was the most fun for me (and I hope those who attended the classes). ;) Our crops mostly focused on scrapbooking, which I love to do for myself, but found I was lacking in helping others. My vision kept turning back to cards, papercrafting, altering, etc. And with the influence of hanging out with Becky I found I was enjoying stamping more and more. I will no longer be selling I Remember When or MemoryWorks products. IRW is the company I have started this journey with and it is very bittersweet to be moving on after two years.

So, (if you have read this far thank you) I decided to sign up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. This was a huge decision. But, one I am most excited about! :) I have so many exciting plans for all of you. This blog will serve as the hub for my new venture. You may access my SU website from here (see the link on the right side toolbar), while you are there please take a moment and sign up to receive the SU monthly newsletter. I will be offering online tutorials, you can hostess a virtual workshop, show projects featuring SU projects, tell you about upcoming specials (including sneak peeks) and keep you informed on classes I will be holding locally. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have or if you need a current sring-summer 2008 catalog. You can also leave me a comment on this blog. :) I look forward to sharing this amazing adventure with you. ;)

To kick off my daily updates and inspiration here are two quick and easy valentine projects!

How Sweet!

I think these two projects are so sweet for Valentine's Day goodies. The little bag I am just in love with. I have been messin' around with felt for about a month now. Sewing it, cutting it, embossing it, etc. This little bag was so easy to stitch together. I used the blanket stitch tutorial from here (http://annamariahorner.blogspot.com/2006/12/cozy-up-with-blanket.html). And the rest is my own creation. :) I have been playing with some popular color combinations. Tell me what you think. The post it note holder is a sweet little something for teachers or co-workers. I bought the patterned post it's at Michaels and found a tutorial here (http://chicnscratch.typepad.com/chic_n_scratch/2008/01/post-it-note-ho.html). I love finding inspiration and tutorials from all the other creative ladies out there. They are so gracious to share. Okay, and it doesn't hurt that I have been sewing since I was a kid. I hope these have inspired you in some way to make a sweet little something for someone you care about. :)

Oh, and one shot of our pooch, Max. He just turned 6 last week. He has a new doggie bed in the front entryway. He loves being in the house, but it is a tad too warm for him. Even though it looks sunny it is only 7 degrees outside. I have the heat cranked up, because someone in our house (little miss Marissa) won't keep anything but a pull-up on for more than 10 minutes. :)

Just like a cat

Marissa found a warm place to fall asleep. She has a new fascination with playing with the buttons and dial on the dryer. She dras the folding chair over to the dryer and climbs up. I have been cleaning and rearranging in here. It is my craft/laundry room. I had taken some towels and jeans out of the dryer and then got on the phone. Next time I looked at her she was snoozing. Notice her head is on my stack of albums. So, there is no project this time. However, this photo has inspired me to scrap a page about it. :)
